== Biography == === Physical appearance === Despite Pop's age, he shares the same cutesy design and proportions as the rest of the main characters. However, Pop's voice is notably deeper than most characters in the series. His wardrobe is a parody of the 1950s-style sitcom father, as he wears a dark-red bathrobe, a light-red belt, and a dark-red cap, though his attire sometimes changes in certain episodes. In addition, he wields a brown pipe in his mouth, which he smokes. As stated in his Collect 'em All card, he even smokes in his sleep.Citation needed However, he is seen without his smoking pipe in many instances. Pop is rarely seen without his hat, though he doesn't have any hair underneath it, unlike his son. === Personality === Pop is quite similar to Lumpy in personality. Pop is very unintelligent and doesn't pay much attention to his actions. For that reason, he often causes other characters' deaths, mainly Cub. In most scenarios, he fails to notice Cub's demise and once even mistook Nutty's concrete-filled stomach as his own son because it wore Cub's hat. However, in the moments where Pop does realize his son is in genuine danger, he comes to the rescue and tries to save Cub from his predicament. Pop rarely interacts with anyone besides Cub, and he is usually portrayed as impatient and grumpy when he does. In "A Hole Lotta Love", he threatens Sniffles to rescue Cub and, at some point, engages in a fight with him. In "A Hole Lotta Love", he gets annoyed at Mime when trying to order food. In "From Hero to Eternity", Pop is seen bothered by Splendid each time he passes by him. Pop has shown an interest in barbeque and video games. As seen in "Read 'em and Weep", Pop is a cheapskate. ==== Other outfits and designs ==== In "Cubtron Z", Pop is constructed with cardboard to be animated in a stop-motion environment. In "Clause For Concern", Pop is dressed as Santa Claus. He wears a large white beard, a red coat with a white fur collar, a black belt, and a red hat with white fur. In "A Handy Nanny", he wears a bowling outfit. In "Every Litter Bit Hurts", Pop wears blue trousers over his red bathrobe. === Occupations === Pop is a full-time father who has a son to care for. However, Pop is very dimwitted and incompetent, leading to Cub getting lost, injured, or even killed. In "Clause For Concern", Pop is a mall Santa. He plans to go to the designated mall to fulfill his occupation but is halted by many obstacles. In "A Handy Nanny", he is depicted as a bowler. By the end of the episode, he is seen carrying a tremendous bowling-trophy. In "Every Litter Bit Hurts", Pop is an environmental volunteer. During this episode, he works alongside Giggles and performs most of his tasks competently. However, he fishes out Cub's beanie and starts to panic. He is later killed by a pinecone. === Relationships === ==== Family ==== Pop is the father of Cub. Pop and Cub are paired together in most of their appearances, and rarely seen apart. Cub is often killed by his father's obliviousness and unintellegence. Pop is most defined by his irresponsibility when he is tasked with Cub, as it had resulted in his son's death many times. In Let It Slide, Treasure Those Idol Moments, and Rink Hijinks, Pop seem to leave Cub unattended. While Pop cares deeply about his son, his poor decisions have brought pain and suffering upon Cub. In Stealing the Spotlight, Pop shoved a tooth back into his son's gums after it fell out when Pop unintentionally smacked Cub with a ladder, and later hammered a nail into his son's head after failing to remove it. His incompetence caused Cub to be severly harmed in And The Kitchen Sink. Pop is occasionally unaware of Cub's deaths, such as in Snip Snip, Hooray, Chip Off the Ol' Block, and Bottled Up Inside. While Pop never intends to harm Cub, he deliberately bludgeons his son to death with a shovel in Read 'Em and Weep, believing his son was still possesed by a demon. Despite Cub's age, Pop seems to task his son with chores. In Chip Off the Ol' Block, as Pop relaxes in a hammock, he gives Cub a lawnmower and allows him to him mow the grass. He also demands Cub to rake leaves in Chore Loser. Despite his reckless actions, Pop is shown to truly care about Cub. Pop has the tendecy to spoil Cub, giving him a lolipop in A Sucker For Love and Snip Snip Hooray. Whenever Cub gets himself in danger, Pop is always determined to find or rescue Cub. In a few episodes, Pop seems to become somewhat frantic whenever his son is missing, such as in A Hole Lotta Love, where he goes into a hysterical panic upon assuming Cub fell down a well. Pop is known to immediately mourn Cub's death, and in Cubtron Z, Pop revives his deceased son by reconstructing him into a giant cyborg. In A Sucker For Love, Pop confronts Nutty when the latter stole Cub's lolipop. Pop's wife was never mentioned or seen throughout the show. However, Kenn Navvaro affirms that his wife is deceased by unknown causes. In Can't Stop Coffin, Pop & Cub are seen mourning her grave. ==== Friends ==== Pop rarely interacts with anyone else but Cub. He only interacted with Cuddles in And The Kitchen Sink, where he accidentally runs him over with his car. In a few instances, Pop is seen with Giggles, but their interactions often come at the latter's expense. In Wingin' It, Pop doesn't intervene when his son whacks Giggles' seat with his toy airplane, and in And The Kitchen Sink, Pop accidentally killed Giggles while driving. However, in their most notable interaction, Giggles hires Pop as an environmental volunteer. His only interaction with Toothy includes purchasing a book from him in Read 'em and Weep and listening to his singing in Class Act. Lumpy and Pop seem to have regular interactions with each other. In A Vicious Cycle, Pop congratulates Lumpy and Disco Bear for seemingly putting Flippy to justice and invites them to his house. He also requested for Lumpy's assistance in Doggone It and Read 'em and Weep. In the latter episode, Pop mourns his son's death with Lumpy. He also attends Lumpy's gas station in Spare Tire. Pop summoned Lumpy as a genie in the episode As You Wish. Pop had a brief interaction with Petunia in Read 'em and Weep, where she offered him cookies as a girl scout. Pop has interacted with Handy twice. As Pop navigates the underground with Sniffles' drill machine in A Hole Lotta Love, he stops to ask Handy for help. However, Pop failed to understand Handy because of the latter's amputated hands. In A Handy Nanny, Pop hires Handy to be Cub's babysitter. Pop recruits The Mole to a search team and tried to rush him in A Hole Lotta Love. He takes Cub to an ambulance driven by The Mole in A Sucker For Love. Pop sits next to and watches a school play with The Mole in Something Fishy In Sea What I Found, Pop is disturbed by seeing Disco Bear walking in only a speedo. In A Vicious Cycle, Pop invites Disco Bear and Lumpy to hang out at his house. While Pop neither interacts with Russell and Mime face-to-face, he attempted to order food from them in Mime to Five and gets agitated with nobody responds to his order in the drive-thu. He also watched their school play in Something Fishy. Pop's only interaction with Cro-Marmot is ordering an ice cream cone from him in Water Way To Go. ==== Foes and rivals ==== Pop was at odds against Nutty in A Sucker for Love. After the crazed squirrel snatched the lolipop from Cub, Pop confronted him and tries to pull it from Nutty's grasp. Likewise, Pop does not have a good relationship with Sniffles either. In A Hole Lotta Love, Sniffles coperated with Pop to find Cub, but the two quickly started bickering. Pop kicked away Sniffles' severed arm with an indifferent expression in Who's To Flame. Lifty and Shifty have never robbed Pop. So far, Pop has only witnessed the raccoon duo running over his son in As You Wish. He also caused their deaths in And The Kitchen Sink. Fliqpy hasn't killed Pop in his regular form, but in A Vicious Cycle, he intentially causes Pop's death when his soul possesed Cub's tricycle. As revealed in From Hero to Eternity, Pop does not like Splendid. He is seen looking at Splendid with a frown upon first seeing him and gets bothered when Splendid speeds past him, causing his paper to get blown around. When Pop and Cub bought Whistle from a pet store in Doggone It, they happily adopted him. This changed when Pop saw Whistle violently mauling his son. As Pop calls pest control, he is seen getting attacked by the dog and trying to fend him off. ==== Speech ==== Unlike most characters, Pop speaks in a very deep voice. Several of Pop's given dialogue is somewhat intelligible. For instance, in "Chip Off the Ol' Block", he tells Cub to "stay here". In most instances, he often calls for his son and usually says his name. Pop is often the character to read literature, thus, he is given moments where he is heard reading (unseen) words.
