"Chore Loser" is one of the Happy Tree Friends Break shorts. This short and "Seize The Day" were released on the same day on the official Mondo website and YouTube. Both shorts are themed around video games.

When YouTube had the video response feature, this Break was a video response to the full version of the "False Alarm" short.[2]

Synopsis[edit]

Happy Tree Friends website and YouTube: All play and no work makes Pop a dull Dad.[3][2]

Plot[edit]

Cub is playing a video game handheld when an angry Pop approaches him and asks him to rake up the leaves outside. Cub happily takes the rake and does his chore. Pop picks up the handheld and sits on the couch to play it. While raking up the leaves, Cub is approached by a small dog. He turns around and pets it, only for his hand to be bitten. The poor baby runs away from the hostile dog and reaches the window where he screams for his father for help. However, Pop is too engrossed in the video game and Cub ends up attacked by the dog. Cub's body parts stick to the window and slide down like Tetris pieces. The dog, looking friendly again, runs inside the house where it drops one of Cub's body parts to the floor. Pop notices the dog and stops playing the handheld to pet it. It then growls as it begins to turn hostile again.
